In a significant development for the future of enterprise artificial intelligence, KPMG and Microsoft have announced an expansion of their global AI partnership, marking what both companies describe as a major step toward bringing trusted AI agents and intelligent workplace tools into large-scale business operations.

Both companies say Agent 365 will provide a framework for maintaining visibility and control while scaling AI adoption.
The partnership also places a strong emphasis on responsible AI. KPMG plans to integrate the platform into its Trusted AI framework, helping clients navigate issues related to governance, compliance, security, and risk management. Executives from both organizations emphasized that trust will remain a critical factor as AI becomes more deeply embedded in business operations.
Beyond internal transformation, the collaboration is expected to influence KPMG’s audit, tax, and advisory services. The firm plans to expand the use of AI-powered tools to improve analysis, streamline workflows, identify risks more effectively, and deliver faster insights for clients. Supporting these efforts is KPMG Workbench, an AI platform built on Microsoft Azure AI technologies and designed to coordinate multiple AI agents across business processes.
The announcement builds upon the landmark multi-billion-dollar strategic agreement signed by the two companies in 2023. That earlier commitment focused on cloud modernization and generative AI innovation. The latest expansion signals an evolution of that vision, moving from AI assistance toward a future where organizations can responsibly deploy and manage AI agents at enterprise scale.
