Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire Holds Ahead of New Talks

A fragile calm has settled along the Israel–Lebanon border as a U.S.-brokered ceasefire continues to hold, at least for now, creating a narrow window for diplomacy after days of heightened tension and cross-border conflict. The temporary truce, which began on April 16 and is expected to last ten days, was designed to halt active hostilities and open the door for negotiations aimed at preventing a broader escalation in the region.

So far, the ceasefire appears largely intact, though not without strain.
